Celtic Woman Song
.
Are you familiar with Celtic Woman? If you are not, then you are missing out on fantastic music! For Mother’s Day I took my mother to hear Celtic Woman in person. One of my most favorite songs from their repertoire is called You Raise Me Up. From what I understand, it is not a religious song. Nevertheless, the lyrics of the chorus carry such deeply spiritual overtones.
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
Listening to the song reminded me about a Psalm of David. This Psalm is actually a prophecy about Jesus and His dependence on the Father to raise Him up.

“But You, O Lord, be merciful to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them. By this I know that You are well pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over me. As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever." — Psalm 41:10-12 NKJV
